The Role

Skytap, a Kyndryl Company, is searching for a technology leader to join our senior leadership team. We are looking for a product visionary who loves digging into details as much as creating long-term strategic plans; someone who seeks to change the equation when the way forward seems blocked. Candidates must have a history of building and mentoring great teams to design, create, and operate modern distributed systems globally. This person will lead our engineering teams and must have a track record of creating services that business customers love. You must also understand what it takes to build and operate a highly available service that enterprise customers depend on to run business-critical systems. In addition to strong engineering leadership, we are looking for someone who can be a compelling external brand champion. You would help recruit new team members, expand our partnerships with Public Cloud providers, and win our most strategic customer opportunities.

About You: 

As the leader of Skytap’s service, ideal candidates will have a strong point of view derived from experience designing and implementing cloud services. Familiarity with the practices used by the world’s leading technology companies to design, build, deploy, and operate infrastructure services at scale is strongly preferred. A passion for leadership skills and team building grounded in authenticity is a core skill.  

You must also enjoy building teams and creating opportunities for individuals to grow. If we asked your former team members, we’d like to hear that you were their favorite manager. Both because you were an excellent leader who established clear expectations and because you cared about the people on your team.
