Revenue Accounting Consultant

As a Revenue Accounting Consultant, you will play a critical role in helping our clients navigate the complexities of revenue accounting and ensure compliance with accounting standards. You will partner with cross-functional teams to review and evaluate revenue contracts, identify revenue recognition issues, and develop and implement revenue accounting policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze revenue contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition
  • Assist clients in implementing ASC 606 standards and related policy changes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve revenue recognition issues
  • Develop and document revenue recognition policies and procedures
  • Prepare and review revenue-related financial statements and disclosures
  • Provide expertise and guidance on revenue accounting matters to clients
  • Stay updated on changes to accounting standards and regulations related to revenue recognition

Requirements

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA certification
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in revenue accounting
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with revenue recognition software and tools
  • Experience in public accounting
  • Experience in software or technology industry
  • Advanced Excel skills
