Shift Lead (De-railed Diner)

The Shift Lead plays a key role in the daily operations of Derailed Diner. You’ll lead by example, keep the team on track during shifts, and ensure every guest leaves satisfied. You're the go-to person when the manager’s off duty and the one who helps make sure everything runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise team members during shifts and ensure efficient service
• Open and/or close the diner following proper procedures
• Ensure cleanliness and food safety standards are maintained
• Provide training, guidance, and support to team members
• Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally
• Monitor shift performance and help maintain labor and food cost goals
• Assist with inventory checks and restocking as needed
• Report shift updates, incidents, or concerns to management

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous restaurant or food service experience (leadership experience a plus)
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure
• A positive attitude and team-first mindset
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be dependable, punctual, and professional
