Director of Nursing

About the Role

As the Director of Nursing, you’ll provide strategic oversight of all nursing operations across our hospital, champion high-quality care, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. You’ll work alongside a passionate leadership team, help drive innovation in patient-centered care, and support a strong interdisciplinary model.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing practice and clinical operations with a focus on quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Guide the nursing leadership team to ensure consistent, evidence-based care standards.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership, medical staff, and community partners to promote excellence in care delivery.
• Oversee workforce development, recruitment, retention, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Manage fiscal operations including departmental budgets and resource planning.
• Serve as a visible leader, mentor, and advocate for the nursing profession.

Requirements

• RN licensure in the State of Wisconsin (or eligibility to obtain).
• Master’s degree required (MSN, MHA, or related field).
• Minimum of 5 years progressive nursing leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of CMS, state, and federal regulations.
• Proven ability to lead teams, drive change, and foster a positive culture.
• Passion for rural healthcare and community engagement.
