We are seeking a seasoned, forward-thinking and result-oriented Director of Technology Automation to lead the design and delivery of business process automation solutions across the bank. This role will focus on identifying high-impact automation opportunities, optimizing end-to-end business processes, and partnering with business and technology teams to implement scalable solutions that improve efficiency, compliance, and customer experience.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a blend of business process transformation, automation strategy, and technology enablement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute and evolve bank’s enterprise automation strategy, aligned with enterprise goals and IT roadmaps for operational efficiency and digital enablement.
  • Champion a culture of process and technology-enabled transformation driving continuous improvement across the enterprise.
  • Partner with senior business and IT stakeholders to roadmap high-value automation capabilities across key banking domains.
  • Work closely with business teams to document current state processes (as-is) and facilitate design of technology-enabled future state (to-be) automated processes. 
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and lead technology teams to build solutions.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, for automation platforms and service partners ensuring quality delivery, contract compliance, and performance against SLAs.
  • Establish standards and governance for automation delivery, including intake, prioritization, quality assurance, risk, and compliance standards and post-implementation reviews.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions across platforms and technologies (e.g., RPA, AI/ML, workflow orchestration tools such as ServiceNow FSO, Power Platform, etc.)
  • Lead integration strategy and enablement across platforms and downstream systems
  • Ensure robust data flow and orchestration between platforms via APIs, connectors, and middleware solutions.
  • Establish KPIs and measure the impact of automation initiatives on efficiency, accuracy, and cost reduction.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (MBA or Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of professional experience with at least 5 years in business process improvement and automation, leading complex automation efforts in a banking or financial services environment.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and program governance skills to manage complex technology-driven business transformation programs.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking and solution design skills, connecting the dots across people, process and technology.
  • Proven ability to conduct business process modeling, root cause analysis, and functional requirements gathering.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation and influencing skills.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of automation and workflow technologies such as ServiceNow, Power Platform, and AI/ML platforms.
  • Strong background in ecosystem and data integration
  • Background in banking or financial services operations, compliance workflows, and back-office process requirements.
  • Experience with API integrations, data integrations, and cloud-based automation delivery
  • Experience with agile methodologies, business process design, enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Experience with change management and leading organizational adoption of new technologies.
  • Certification in ServiceNow, Business Process Management (BPM), or Lean Six Sigma preferred.

The estimated salary range for this position is $130,000.00 to $140,000.00. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
