The Coutellier Lab, located in the Psychology Department within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a motivated Research Technician to join our team studying the neural mechanisms underlying brain development, particularly in neuropsychiatric disorders such as anxiety, depression, and schizophrenia. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in behavioral neuroscience using mouse models. The Research Technician will assist in the coordination and execution of laboratory experiments, as well as in maintaining lab equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and conducting data analysis.

Minimum Education Required

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Required Qualifications

  • At least one year of hands-on experience working with laboratory rodents, either in vivo (behavioral testing) or in vitro (molecular analysis).

  • Experience with maintaining lab equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and conducting data analysis is preferred.

  • This is a term position available for one year with the possibility of renewal based on performance and availability of funds.

  • Compensation: $15.70–$20.67/hour. Offer will be based on internal equity, budget, and candidate qualifications.
