<p>Job Description:</p><p>Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a</p><p></p><p>Senior Systems Engineer - Ground Support System (d/f/m)</p><p></p><p>If you are looking for challenging tasks within a development team and you are interested in systems and software related to military aircrafts, you should apply for a position as Systems Engineer in the engineering department.</p><p>We are developing and supporting Ground Support Systems (GSS) for our flying platforms A400M, Eurofighter and Tornado at the Airbus-sites in Manching/Germany and Getafe/Spain.</p><p>Our GSS products comprise the generation and evaluation of mission-specific data, provide interfaces to the airborne systems and support the analysis of the mission execution. Here, you can enjoy the quality of life in the countryside while the pleasures of near-by cities are still within easy reach.</p><p></p><p>Your benefits</p><ul><li><p>Attractive salary and special payments</p></li><li><p>30 days holidays and extra days-off for special occasions</p></li><li><p>Excellent upskilling opportunities and great international, group wide development prospects</p></li><li><p>Special benefits: employer-funded pension, employee stock options, discounted car leasing, special conditions for insurances, subsidies for public transport, employee benefits at cooperating companies</p></li><li><p>On-site-facilities: Medical officer for check-ups and other health-related services, canteen and cafeteria, kindergarten close to the site   </p></li><li><p>Compatibility of family &amp; work (job sharing, part-time models, flexible working hours, individual timeout)</p></li><li><p>Working in a diverse environment, with more than 140 nationalities, where every voice is heard</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Your tasks and responsibilities</p><ul><li><p>Analysis of avionics system design/requirements and operational requirements</p></li><li><p>Following supplier customer requirements for system development</p></li><li><p>Perform requirements definition, interface definition and system design activities to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications</p></li><li><p>Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation and effectiveness analyses for total systems</p></li><li><p>Troubleshoot system failures and performance issues.</p></li><li><p>Support the development of program plans (e.g., the Systems Development Plan, Program Master Schedule and Configuration Management Plan).</p></li><li><p>Support technical lead in customer management at design and program management reviews, and with all system development critical decisions.</p></li><li><p>Support the management of suppliers for developing, testing and delivery of quality products that meet the requirements</p></li><li><p>Review system design documentation and operational checklists, procedures, user manuals, training materials, and other technical publications for technical accuracy and completeness. </p></li><li><p>Support updates to technical manuals, technical specifications, and system/subsystem documentation for the customer/end user</p></li><li><p>Generate acceptance documentation, e.g., Acceptance Test Plans, Acceptance Test Procedures, based on system/subsystem designs</p></li><li><p>Develop executable test plans which address technical specification verification requirements </p></li><li><p>Support test’s evaluation of system performance in the lab.  Operate the system and test equipment to evaluate functional and performance against requirements </p></li><li><p>Foster collaboration within our project team and with involved stakeholders - internal and external</p></li><li><p>Actively support the continuous improvement of our products, projects and processes</p> <p></p></li></ul><p>Desired skills and qualifications</p><ul><li><p>University Engineering Degree or Master in Electronics, Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of systems/software engineering lifecycle and experience in all phases of it</p></li><li><p>Working knowledge of one of more of the following specialty areas related to self-defensive systems, radar system and electronic support system.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of Electronic Warfare principles and interest in Electronic Warfare Support </p></li><li><p>Experience with using different test equipment is an advantage (i.e. oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, RF signal generator) </p></li><li><p>Familiarity with Atlassian software development and collaboration tool set (Jira and Confluence)</p></li><li><p>Working knowledge with engineering tools such as DOORS</p>
