Product Engineers are the key interface between Research and Development, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Quality Assurance departments. The key responsibilities of the position are the following:

Prepare for New DRAM Products:

• Yield/Quality teams will begin engaging well ahead of silicon arriving as key participants in ramp/product planning activities for upcoming products
• Lead yield and product grading forecasting, tracking, communication, and improvement across designs
• Work with Design Engineering and help complete pre-silicon simulations and documentation
• Understand how the manufacturing process impacts CMOS & design response
• Bring together and implement lessons learned for continuous improvement
• Work with Manufacturing teams to ensure resources and support programs are prepared for new products and new datasheet specifications

Ensure Silicon Meets Product Expectations:

• Create and maintain yield paretos with new data, actions, timelines, and estimated yield gains, and provide prioritization to drive pareto improvements
• Extract and analyze silicon parametric and test-manufacturing data
• Perform hands-on failure analysis in our lab to isolate root cause
• Define and lead all aspects of experiments to improve product performance
• Work with Product Yield Enhancement (PYE) and Fab teams to understand physical failures and drive corrective actions
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) Teams on reliability performance and customer returns
• Monitor and drive performance to plan, define actions and set priorities accordingly

Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Marketing:

• Coordinate closely with Product Leadership Team to ensure yield and quality are fully represented in overall product leadership approach, and strategies are aligned to delivering to the product objectives/timelines
• Allocate resources to meet timelines and results within the group, and work with Leadership Team to set appropriate project goals
• Synchronize data reporting and projections with global teams MFG, PYE, Node Enablement
• Collaborate with Test Engineering and Design-For-Test to provide test mentorship that improves product quality and/or yield
• Drive solutions for sophisticated problems
• Build and deliver technical presentations to a wide range of audiences
• Provide overall project prioritization and direction to project goals for support teams
• Analyze current and historical trends, and experiment data, to improve accuracy of product performance forecasts

Provide Technical Training and Expertise:

• Optimize group performance through metrics and objectives
• Provide On-the-Job Training (OJT) for new engineers
• Assist with data presentation and interpretation
• Act as product-specific point of contact
• Participate and chip in to technical seminars
