IU Health Nurse Scholar Program

The IU Health Nurse Scholar Program is designed to support future nurses during the final semesters of their nursing education by providing financial assistance and career development opportunities.

Selected students receive funding in exchange for a commitment to begin their professional nursing careers with IU Health after graduation. This program strengthens the nursing workforce pipeline while helping students transition successfully into practice.

Applications are now being accepted for the Fall 2026 semester. It is open to students enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program at an Indiana University campus or an Associate of Science in Nursing Program at an Ivy Tech Community College campus.

 Please review the Eligibility Requirements and Documents to Submit below before submitting the application. This application will close on Thursday, May 7th, 2026, at 11:59 pm.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.

• At the time of application, you must be enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program at an Indiana University campus or an Associate of Science in Nursing Program at an Ivy Tech Community College campus.

• Must have no more than 4 semesters remaining to complete the undergraduate nursing program.

• Must provide proof of enrollment or acceptance into the nursing program via official transcript and/or letter of acceptance.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the Program’s required employment and service obligation, without requiring IU Health to initiate or extend employer-sponsored work authorization.
