Senior Staff for Special Program Accounting and Finance (Senior Special Program Accounting Manager)

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Special Program Accounting Manager located at Bolling AFB, D.C.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage a team of accountants in support of AFO through leadership, mentoring and quality assurance
- Conducts training for a broad range of personnel with varying levels of accounting knowledge and experience
- Reconciles General Ledger Summary to Detail Journals within the accounting system and with interfacing accounting systems from partner organizations
- Understand and translate accounting requirements into accounting system functionality, both assisting users through a Tier II type field support in completing accounting functions within the system and potentially resulting in new system requirements
- Ability to communicate with multiple organizations and users, translating requirements for accounting information into writing and delivering Ad Hoc reports using Business Analytics
- Track and correct outstanding or problem transactions through a quality assurance type approach of detailed research of multiple accounting systems and deep government accounting experience
- Reconciles Reimbursable program within the Air Force and with partner organizations
- Assists with preparation, review, and reconciliation of Forms 7113, 1219/1220, and 7801
- Drives completion Tri-Annual Review process through identification, analysis and correction of open items
Basic Qualifications:
- 10 years experience with government accounting and finance
- 5 years' experience with Business Case Analytics
- 5 years' experience working with Momentum®
- 4 years' experience project management of similar size and complexity contract
- 4-year degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possess a high degree of originality, creativity, initiative requiring minimal supervision
- Willingness to travel within the organizational geographic Area of Responsibility (AOR)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Top Secret/ SCI, JAFAN eligible
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
- Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
