As a Junior Technical Operations Engineer at LetsGetChecked, you will provide technical operations expertise and thought leadership towards our core mission of empowering individuals, corporations, universities, public sector, and health insurance companies to use technology in a simple but powerful way to give them greater control of their healthcare needs. This role supports our operations, products, and growth with the tools and solutions to meet market demand in a 24x7 globally distributed environment. You will be at the intersection of technical operations, product engineering, cloud computing, and complex data environments and will need to be deeply experienced in at least three, passionate about all four, and conversant with stakeholders in all. 
You will join us in supporting our large scale, distributed platform spanning across multiple geographic locations. Our platform resides fully in AWS, operates in dozens of markets globally and focuses on ease of use for our customers along with integrity & security for the data they trust us with. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Platform Support & Monitoring: Provide operational support and monitoring for our AWS-based healthcare platform, ensuring reliability, performance, and uptime across all services.
  • Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Participate in incident management by identifying patterns, coordinating root cause analyses, and resolving complex technical and operational issues.
  • Process Improvement: Provide expert technical assistance and deep-dive analysis on cloud services, data configuration, and performance optimization.
  • Service Level Monitoring: Oversee platform service levels and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all targets and SLAs are met or exceeded.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with internal teams, maintaining proactive and transparent communication with customers and stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting: Conduct analysis and present periodic reviews of operational performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Community Contribution: Actively contribute to the development of technical communities within the organization by sharing best practices and operational insights.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent industry experience) and 2+ years of experience in technical operations, DevOps, or related domains.
  • Hands-on experience in at least one technical area — DevOps, Engineering, Data Management, or TechOps.
    • Strong understanding of Observability, Monitoring, and Alerting tools and practices.
  • Proven ability to break down complex problems, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Highly detail-oriented, self-sufficient, and proactive. Comfortable working autonomously in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
  • Customer-focused, motivated by performance and reliability, and passionate about continuous improvement and professional growth.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS or other Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Fundamentals).
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server.
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices.
  • Experience working in U.S. healthcare technology environments.
  • Knowledge of Jira and PagerDuty for incident and workflow management.
