WHAT YOU’LL DO
The primary responsibility of the Pool Cabana Host is to ensure complete customer satisfaction by providing the highest quality of service to our cabana and daybed guests and their food and beverage needs. All duties are to be performed in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Greets and welcomes all cabana guests in a pleasant and professional manner and escorting them to their cabana or daybed.
Assisting guest with food and beverage choices/menus, taking food and beverage orders accurately, delivering orders promptly.
Accurately, and professionally deal with cash/credit transactions, aid cabana guests with requests, and cabana/pool deck cleanliness.
Continuously seek service opportunities.
Respond to and resolve guest complaints.
Answer guest questions and possess knowledge about property events and attractions.
Work closely with bar staff, runners and kitchen staff to coordinate the delivery of food and beverage orders to the appropriate location.
Provide friendly and professional service to guests, assisting with any additional requests or inquiries they may have.
Communicate any special instructions or guest preferences to the bar and kitchen staff to ensure the correct preparation of orders.
Provide fast (20 minutes or less round time), friendly, professional beverage service to pool guests; carry full trays on every round.
Take drink orders, communicate with the bartender, assist in the preparation of drinks, and present drinks to guests.
Maintain a clean and well-stocked workstation.
Handle money according to procedures.
Serve as an ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations functions; appear in publicity photos.
Work well with others, especially beverage servers, bartenders, barbacks and the beverage supervisor.
Provide personalized service and use guests' names.
Resolve service problems according to guidelines.
Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
Fulfill any other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
REQUIREMENTS
At least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
One-year previous high-volume food and beverage experience.
Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner.
Must present a professional and pleasant appearance that guests will find appealing and approachable in order to engage in conversation.
Must be able to work any day of the week and scheduled shift.
Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
Must present a well-groomed appearance.
Work requires knowledge of tray service and cocktail ingredients.
Work requires schedule flexibility which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
PREFERRED
Minimum of one-year customer service experience in a previous position, where the primary job duty is direct customer service.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to work under time constraints and within established deadlines.
