About the Role
As an Account Manager at Woodruff Sawyer, you will play a pivotal role in the placement, renewal, and overall service of new and existing clients. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a world-class company and make a significant impact in the Employee Benefits Practice.
What You'll Do
- Successfully handle multiple clients, following the service requirements and recommended approaches of the Employee Benefits Practice, and consistently deliver work on time.
- Take responsibility for an assigned book of business, ensuring a well-balanced mix of revenue and complexity.
- Stay up to date with legislation and compliance affecting your assigned book of business, having the ability to effectively communicate these details to clients.
- Collaborate with Account Representatives, Account Coordinators, and Account Executives, and confidently work directly with a Producer when necessary.
- Develop and present client materials, actively engage in client presentations, and contribute to the planning process.
- Assist clients and their employees with elevated issues and questions, such as claims.
- Create and deliver client deliverables with exceptional accuracy.
- Engage in presentations to clients, demonstrating thoroughness, accuracy, and exceptional communication skills to address questions or concerns.
- Handle complex and detailed issues efficiently and effectively, taking full ownership of problem-solving until resolution.
- Maintain professional and diplomatic communication with vendors, clients, and colleagues.
- Lead the Marketing and/or Renewal process, analyzing proposals/quotes, negotiating changes, and making recommendations to clients.
- Contribute to the delivery of strategic overviews on accounts, arranging strategy meetings, gathering relevant information, and reviewing client needs.
- Build positive relationships with clients, carriers, and team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Ensure timely contract review and delivery.

Experience & Qualifications
- Preferred college degree; high school diploma, or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of five years of industry experience.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and In-Design.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
- Life, Accident, and Health license required upon hire or within 3 months of obtaining the position.
- Valid driver's license.
