Delivery Manager

About the role

InvestCloud is looking for dynamic and accomplished individuals seeking to bring their knowledge and expertise in delivery management. This position is appropriate for self-starters with strong team management and organizational skills, excellent command of project management and a strong sense of ownership. The ideal candidate will have experience in the field and be highly capable of quickly mastering new key concepts and be willing and able to learn to use internal technical tools and adapt to technical knowledge to facilitate team progress.

What does a great Delivery Manager do?

A successful delivery manager directs product development and other important business initiatives. They schedule and delegate tasks, often serving as a point of contact with many internal product team members. In addition, the delivery manager helps manage expectations to ensure everyone understands their roles, responsibilities, and the overall goals of the project.

How you will provide meaningful contributions:

• Work with product managers, product owners and product engineering teams on the implementation of product initiatives from project initiation to completion (full SDLC).
• Understand technical, business, and non-functional requirements of each product project.
• Responsible for understanding product priorities, capacity planning to provide the release dates for the product enhancements on the product manager’s roadmaps.
• Plan and effectively communicate milestones, deliverables, risks, and dependencies for product projects.
• Identify, escalate, and resolve project issues and blockers in a timely manner.
• Oversee teams of business analysts, developers, and quality engineers at different levels and with different subject matter knowledge, and direct/approve their time to ensure optimal delivery of projects.
• Communicate with all levels of internal management.
• Leverage subject matter experts strategically to determine the optimal solution and approach.
• Use appropriate project management tools, standard processes, and best practices to deliver with consistency and quality.
• Provide constructive feedback and hold team members accountable to improve and develop the team’s performance.

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

• Bachelor's degree in computer technology or similar field.
• 2-3 years in similar position.
• 1-2 years' experience in leadership and/or experience managing a team.
• Proven communication skills and strong organizational skills.
• Aptitude to learn new products, technologies, and approaches at speed.
• Experience working in a collaborative and matrixed environment – team player.
• Experience leading software technology projects.
• Aptitude for process improvement, planning tools, and resource allocation.
• Emotional intelligence to work effectively with a wide array of internal stakeholders.

Preferred Skills / Experience

• Experience in the financial services industry.
• Ability to handle multiple projects.
• Thrives in fast paced environment that delivers value-add to all projects.
• Has experience in an Agile environment, with the ability to adapt to a hybrid Agile methodology based on client needs.
• Experience delivering projects using JIRA for planning and reporting

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on the applicant’s geographic location.

 

Salary range: $55,000 - $125,000
