Then we will look forward to meeting you!</p> <p> </p> <p>Your responsibilities</p> <p> </p> <p><ul> <li>Reporting to Head of Power Portfolio Strategy &amp; Optimization Central Europe (CE)</li> <li>Work with an international team of experts accountable for the commercial steering and forward optimization of Uniper’s CE Power Portfolios in GER and NL</li> <li>Continuously monitor and analyze energy markets, using both fundamental analysis and chart technique, for making commercial decisions</li> <li>Develop the forward hedging strategy for the CE asset portfolios by considering market specifics, the generation portfolio set-up and the regulatory environment. Manage all the risks associated with the asset positions</li> <li>Manage the asset portfolio in the forward markets by identifying hedging opportunities or requirements arising from market price changes or updates of the asset parameters. Also, seek innovative ways of creating value from the asset positions</li> <li>Take over PnL responsibility and KPI accountability for the respective generation portfolio</li> <li>Communicate required hedging actions to and work closely with market access traders to ensure that the asset portfolio is hedged effectively and value capture is maximized within the given risk limits</li> <li>Perform daily portfolio management tasks e.g. check daily position changes and hedge bookings, understand daily developments of positions and PnL, track performance (KPI). Ensure portfolios are positioned within given limits, stay compliant with guidelines and rules</li> <li>Maintain any required reports/tools using e.g. Excel, Power BI, Tableau. Drive continuous improvement of tools and trading processes</li> <li>Collaborate closely with the Asset organization to e.g. provide support for maintenance optimization, fuel stock management, etc.</li> <li>Work closely with the “Portfolio, Marketing and Asset (PMA) Strategy” function within the team to develop our CE asset portfolios from commercial perspective and assess new business opportunities like H2 plants, batteries, commercial contracts, etc.</li> <li>Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders by ensuring effective communication. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture</li> </ul> </p> <p>  </p> <p>Your profile</p> <p><br/> <ul> <li>University degree or equivalent in a relevant subject, e.g. mathematics, economics, engineering</li> <li>Multi-year experience in power portfolio management or energy trading with PnL responsibility</li> <li>Thorough understanding of European energy markets and interaction between relevant commodities</li> <li>General understanding of market drivers, fundamentals, generation portfolios and associated risks</li> <li>Excellent commercial awareness and motivation paired with strong initiative, motivation and effective communication</li> <li>Entrepreneurial thinking and constant drive for innovation and change</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use decision tools in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.</li> <li>Familiarity with relevant trading systems like Endur, Solarc, Reuters, Tradesignal, Trayport, etc. </li> <li>Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships, ability to work independently as well as in a team setting</li> <li>Fluent in English is essential, other EU language would be appreciated</li> </ul> </p> <p> </p> <p>Your benefits</p>   At Uniper, we not only reward our employees with attractive salaries, an excellent company pension and health related benefits for their hard work and dedication to shaping the future energy transition.
