production assistant (part-time, seasonal)

about the production assistant role:

an organized and a skilled multitasker, the soona production assistant is a creatively driven, tech-savvy hand who assists in all aspects of the pro services and production process.

the production assistant will help execute projects by providing hands-on support and meeting the tasks assigned by the soona crew. they are responsible for proactively assisting the studio crew to increase efficiency and success on shoots.

responsibilities may include grocery shopping, steaming garments, product assembly and other tasks to support production; such as organizing equipment, sorting client products, purchasing and retrieving props, assisting with setup and breakdown of larger-scale projects. our crew culture is one of “everyone pitches in” - and this position is no different. a successful candidate will take on any task that helps our crew have successful photoshoots.

this is a part-time seasonal role (starting ASAP through November 22, 2023) in Minneapolis, MN, in our digital fulfillment studio, and reports directly to the assistant director, production operations.

Requirements

an ideal candidate can:

• work part-time hours through November 22, 2023, with possibility of extension, depending on business needs
• collaborate with the studio crew lead and production scheduler
• execute production level grocery shopping, steaming and product assembly
• assist on shoots that require additional support
• organize and prepare client products
• run business-related errands when needed from grocery shopping to prop shopping
• maintain general studio upkeep through daily organization, light cleaning and shooting bay setup and breakdown
• be a natural team player willing to help with whatever needs to be done to help the creative team make clients happy and deliver high-quality content

skills and qualifications:

• ability to stand for long periods of time
• capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
• production experience a plus
• strong communication skills
• keen attention to detail
• great multitasking skills
• valid driver’s license + mode of transportation
• must show proof of auto insurance of at least 100,000/300,000/100,000
• excellent listening skills
