Senior Accountant

Summary: The Senior Accountant is a key member of Euclid’s dynamic Finance and Accounting team. Specifically, the senior accountant is responsible for performing routine accounting tasks and month close activities. The accountant assumes a key hands-on role in maintaining the books up to date on a daily basis and taking a leading role with the monthly close process.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Post transactions related to cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger including prepayments, accruals, fixed assets (tangibles, intangibles, construction in progress), inventory and manufacturing costs
• Reconcile accounts at month end to ensure the accuracy of records
• Assist with explaining the fluctuations in account balances and with identifying any discrepancies
• Ensure the transactions are appropriately approved, documented and retained
• Assist with providing the documentation for external auditors and internal stakeholders
• Communicate any issues to the Manager and seek solutions
• Any other duties as assigned

 Requirements:

• BA/BS degree Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
• 5 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in the start-up or similar dynamically changing environment
• Proficiency in ERP systems, NetSuite is preferred
• Experience with the system implementation or transition a plus
• Experience with intercompany transaction and foreign exchange transactions a plus
• CPA is preferred but not required
• Proficiency in MS Office
