About the Position
As a member of the Corporate Strategy team, the primary function of the Manager, Corporate Strategy role is to manage, support and/or assist with the execution of key strategic initiatives, corporate planning efforts, or ad-hoc requests as required by the Senior Leadership Team. Additionally, you will lead projects or individual work streams that contribute to solving high-impact problems and develop actionable solutions for the most challenging issues and opportunities facing the company, often in collaboration with function/business leaders.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop market intelligence and insight on key industry trends (technology, intellectual property [IP], competitors, consumers, regulatory, etc.) and their strategic implications to Goodyear.
- Identify/Deconstruct business issues and develop strategic, analytical and financial frameworks to conduct analyses to derive strategic recommendations - Guiding the strategic direction of Goodyear and providing paths forward to grow the company's long-term business plans.
- Prepare presentation materials and financial models (that include a highly-developed business case) for the strategy recommendations coming from research conducted.
- Execute against time-sensitive requests from the SLT and cross-functional business partners.
- Assist in the execution of the global strategic planning process.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelors’ degree Required. MBA Desired
- 8 or more years of experience in Strategy Consulting related business analysis, functional-line experience with strategy, marketing, finance, operations or sales analytics with a history of demonstrated business success,
- Working knowledge of valuation modeling

- Strategic mindset, with an ability to think broadly, frame key questions, develop analytical frameworks and then create a workplan to deliver an answer and clearly synthesize the results.
- Outstanding project management skills, with ability to organize and prioritize work to deliver results against set expectations, timelines, budgets, etc.
- High emotional intelligence and verbal/written communication skills that educate, influence or help build consensus with key stakeholders.
