Pharmacy Evening Supervisor

Job Description:

Under the leadership of the department director and assistant director, the pharmacy area supervisor reports to the assistant director and is responsible for the delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients served in their designated area. The Pharmacy Evening Shift Supervisor supervises pharmacists, technicians, and support staff. Clinical duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to, reviewing patient medication regimens, therapeutic drug monitoring, providing drug information, preventing and identifying adverse drug reactions and medication errors, and patient consultation.

Experience

Acute care hospital pharmacist experience within the past 5 years is required and supervisory experience is preferred. 

Education

As necessary for required licensure. 

Licensure/Certifications

California pharmacist license is required. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification is required. ACLS must be completed prior to completion of the introductory period and independent assignment.
