As a Molder, you will be responsible for filling molds with mixed material and applying the material to a specified thickness. Additionally, you will clean all equipment and molds and remove the finished products at the correct temperature before that product is placed in heat treatment while adhering to safety and quality standards. This is a 1st shift opportunity from 6:30 am - 3:00 pm.
You Will:
- Have a basic understanding of required equipment setups
- Perform adequate work within applicable computer & scanning operations
- Place tubes, inserts and tongues into the mold
- Be proficient in all Standard Operating Procedures for department
- Recognize mold and part numbers
- Be proficient in scrap out procedures
- Be responsible for safely rigging and operating the cranes
- Obtain knowledge of quality standards of each mold
- Acquire and read blueprints
- Have basic understanding of demolding each part
- Complete Industrial Lift Truck certifications (as needed)
- Meet productivity expectations
- Have knowledge of proper hazardous waste disposal
- Have proficient understanding of department specific tools
- Gain knowledge of inventory and parts replenishment system
- Follow bill of materials and print shop papers
- Support Continuous Improvement
You Have:
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
- 1+ year of general shop assembly experience (preferred)
- Experience working specifically in the composite industry (preferred)
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is required to stand for extended periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision. Respirators may be required; therefore, successful completion of pulmonary function and fit tests may be required. Proper Respirator fit requires a clean shaven face.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Respirators may be required.
