Under general supervision, the Lead Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC) provides integrated behavioral health as a key member of the primary care team. The LLPC abides by guidelines and expectations specific to the clinic in which they provide patient care. The LLPC strives to create positive customer service experience by committing to the highest standards set forth by Denver Health. The LLPC provides as needed: case management and consultation, case coordination to facilitate referrals to specialty care, and crisis intervention.

Denver CARES ProvidersThe following positions within Inpatient Adolescent Psychiatry, Inpatient Adult Psychiatry, Psychiatric Emergency Services, CARES, and Outpatient Behavioral Health Services are offering the opportunity to enroll in a new program offering a cash incentive to recognize your work treating patients with substance use disorders. This program is sponsored through the ACCESS (Advancing Careers, Competencies, and Equity in Substance Treatment Services) grant. Employees must be >0.6 FTE to be eligible. 50% of the bonus will be received 90 days after signing the program contract.· Registered Nurses (RNs) may earn up to $7,500 by December 2024

Essential Functions:
- Direct patient care Performs patient care in accordance with evidence-based clinical framework. Monitor clinical progression. Document care reflecting the patient’s clinical progression per regulatory and state guidelines. Responds to patient and referral needs, maintains a safe environment of care, and ensures the maintenance of patient confidentiality. (40%)
- Clinical Operations Provides basic on-the-job training of assigned duties and assists the supervisor with the day-to-day activities, Caseload distribution, Supplemental clinical supervision and case consultation for assigned team members (25%)
- Education Facilitates both educational and therapeutic groups as well as individual sessions and fundamental case management. (10%)
- Policy and Practice Develop & sustain standard of work. Development and tracking support of Gemba metrics (10%)
- Staff Management Assists in overseeing the activities of the staff which includes but is not limited to sourcing, hiring, and training new team members, creating and managing schedules, evaluating performance, and providing coaching to engage and motivate team members, identifying and applying career advancement opportunities for team members, and helping to resolve employee issues and disputes. (10%)
- For Patient Care Positions: * Ensures all duties, responsibilities and competencies are conducted in a manner that is effective and appropriate to patients/clients to whom care/service is being provided. * Demonstrates knowledge and applicability of the principles of growth and development over the life span, as well as demonstrating the ability to assess data reflecting the patient’s status and interpreting appropriate cultural information of the patient(s) to whom care/ services is being delivered/provided. * Employee has completed and met their clinical competency standards. * Supports monitoring of compliance with Federal, State and Accreditation bodies (Random audits of clinical documentation). (5%)
Education:
- Master's Degree Required
Work Experience:
- 1-3 years 2 years of clinical experience post master’s degree required. Required and
- 1-3 years 2 years’ experience working in an in-patient treatment setting. Required
Licenses:
- LCSW-Licensed Clinical Social Worker - LCSW State Licensing Board Required and
- LPC-Licensed Professional Counselor - LPC State Licensing Board Required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge and the ability to audit for compliance of State, Federal and Agency mandated documentation.
- Critical thinking - the identification of the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Computers and Technology, Microsoft Office skills required.
- Knowledge of electronic health record preferred.
