This is an exciting technical role working with Intel's US Public Sector Sales Engineering team driving the direct and indirect revenue for the US Federal Team and is responsible for the US Defense Prime Contractors, Federal System Integrators FSI and Local Original Equipment Manufacturers LOEMs. You will work on Intel newest technical challenges, implementations, and design wins across Federal, Department of Defense and SLED landscape. This is a commissioned sales position for a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) within the US Territory - Federal Segments. The FAE will support Defense Contractor/LOEM customers, driving the design win/design-in activities, roadmap discussions, and long-term customer success. The FAE will be the technical partner to the Sales Account Managers (SAM) and Global Account Manager (GAM) representing Intel to our customers, chartered with winning the next generation of Intel-based designs.

You will be responsible for representing and selling products on behalf of every Intel business unit (Servers, Client, Embedded, etc.) to accelerate revenue growth, drive Intel technology enablement and close designs. Your job will be to help key Primes/FSIs/LOEMs take advantage of Intel latest architecture/features, develop a deep understanding of the hardware and software ecosystem.

As a successful candidate you must have but not be limited to:

  • Have outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence customers at multiple levels with a desire and ability to collaborate with diverse, remote teams and resources.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects i.e., requirements management, project planning, statement of work creation, risk management, engineering program updates across geographies, time zones, companies, and organizations.

  • Develop a foundational knowledge of Intel's OEM Server/Client/Embedded products, ecosystems and strategies, with an emphasis on the Federal, Civilian, DoD and SLED markets.

  • Understand edge compute, workload consolidation, and AI/edge-inference fundamentals. Understanding of system design and development activities for Intel Xeon, Core and processor-based platforms.

  • A basic understanding of the Foundry market.

  • Communicate the value proposition for future CPU and platform families, within the context of Intel's effort in the Federal and DoD markets.

  • Drive customer requirements back into Intel roadmap and product planning processes.

  • Host collaborative discussions between Intel design teams and our customer to drive closure of design wins for Intel and its partners.

  • Collect and analyze competitive data and use it to drive winning sales strategies


This is commissioned sales role.
