Senior SAP ABAP Developers for Report Writing project - Remote

We are seeking a experienced Senior SAP ABAP Developers with strong experience in Report Writing to join with a Techno-functional Lead and the end client SAP team to update the existing reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in technical development, with a primary focus on report writing, design, development, optimization and testing across SAP S/4HANA and ECC environments. This role requires deep hands-on experience with ABAP, CDS views, SAP Query, SmartForms, Adobe Forms, ALV reports, and OData services, along with a strong understanding of functional business processes across Finance, Supply Chain, Sales & Distribution, Procurement, and Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with your team Lead in the design, development, delivery of updated and new SAP reports (standard and custom) aligned with business requirements.
  

• Collaborate with your team lead and functional teams to analyze reporting and take written specs into new and or updated reports.
  

• Develop reports using ABAP, CDS Views, ALV, SAP Query, SmartForms, and Adobe Forms.
  

• Create analytical reports and dashboards leveraging SAP Fiori, Embedded Analytics, and SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud).
  

• Build and optimize OData services to support reporting in Fiori/UI5 applications.
  

• Ensure reports are compliant with SAP best practices for performance, security, and scalability.
  

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing reports, ensuring timely support for business operations.
  

• Participate in end-to-end SAP project life cycles: requirements gathering, functional/technical design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  

• Provide knowledge transfer, documentation, and training to internal teams and end-users.
  

• Act as a bridge between functional and technical teams, ensuring alignment and smooth delivery of reporting solutions.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 8-10+ years of SAP experience with strong ABAP development and report writing expertise.
  

• Proficiency in ABAP programming (classical, OO, and modern techniques).
  

• Strong knowledge of Core Data Services (CDS) views, AMDP, and HANA SQL scripting.
  

• Expertise in SAP SmartForms, Adobe Forms, and ALV Grid/Tree reports.
  

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics and Fiori reporting apps.
  

• Hands-on experience building custom OData services and integrating with UI5/Fiori.
  

• Broad functional knowledge in at least two SAP modules (FI/CO, SD, MM, PP, QM, PM, or EWM).
  

• Strong skills in FIT-GAP analysis, functional design documentation, and testing.
  

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  

• Prior experience working in Agile and/or ASAP methodology project environments.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP certification(s) in ABAP, S/4HANA, or reporting/analytics.
  

• Experience with SAP BW/4HANA or legacy SAP BW is "nice to have"
  

• Familiarity with integration to external reporting tools (BOBJ, Power BI, Tableau).
  

• Prior consulting experience in global SAP support, rollouts and large-scale implementations.
