About The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Cloud Software Engineer to join our CDO Data Engineering Team. As a Senior Cloud Software Engineer, you will be part of an exciting team working on data engineering projects, with a focus on large-scale data processing and analytics.


What You’ll Do In This Role:

  • Collaborate with the CDO Data Engineering Team to design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications and data pipelines for processing and analyzing large volumes of data using GCP services.

  • Assist in implementing data ingestion, storage, transformation, and retrieval processes to ensure efficient and reliable data flow within our data ecosystem.

  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in programming languages such as Python or Java, following software engineering best practices and coding standards.

  • Work closely with data scientists and engineers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of our data infrastructure.

  • Stay updated with the latest developments in data engineering, programming languages, and cloud platforms, applying them to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our solutions.

  • Document technical specifications, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintainable codebases.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful In This Role: 

  • Strong programming skills, with proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python.

  • Proficiency with one of the major cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS), with a particular emphasis on GCP, and the ability to utilize cloud services for data processing and deployment.

  • Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform services, including Composer for workflow management, BigQuery for data analytics, Pub/Sub for data streaming, and Dataflow for data processing.

  • Experience with data engineering concepts and technologies, including data ingestion, storage, and transformation processes, preferably within a GCP environment.

  • Knowledge of database systems and query languages (SQL, NoSQL) for data manipulation and retrieval.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.

  • Passion for data-driven insights and problem-solving using data engineering technologies, with a specific emphasis on GCP services.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
