Facilities Engineer

Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks related to the operation, maintenance and repair of building systems, structures and associated electrical, mechanical, environmental and utility equipment and distributions.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Mathematics, Mechanics, Electrical, Blueprint Reading.
• Completion of recognized apprenticeship journeyman program; OR full journey status; OR extensive applicable work experience, Vocational training may be substituted for work experience.Progressively responsible experience in aspects of building construction, maintenance and repair preferably in a healthcare setting where the incumbent has gained skills in areas of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and structural systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic Mechanical ability and aptitude.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
