The Duke Center for Girls & Women with ADHD seeks two graduate students/interns passionate about mental health equity for girls and women. The opportunity is available for 12 weeks.
Launched in October 2021, the Duke Center for Girls & Women with ADHD is dedicated to advancing knowledge about ADHD in girls and women. Housed within the Duke ADHD Program at the Duke University School of Medicine, the Center's vision is to enable every person with ADHD who identifies as female–as well as their families, providers and communities–to better understand the unique needs of girls and women with ADHD, thereby helping individuals to seek and receive appropriate treatment, find supportive communities, and reach their full potential. The Center’s mission is to advance education among patients, stakeholders, and the public about the needs of females with ADHD across the lifespan.
Graduate students will work closely with the Center’s team—which includes PhD-level faculty members with degrees in Public Health and Clinical Psychology—on a variety of tasks.

Position Description:
- Assisting with the development of a project management plan
- Helping to design and develop accessible, evidence-based educational resources for teachers
- Recruiting for and coordinating educators for group “listening and learning sessions” to learn about teachers’ perspectives of ADHD in the classroom and assess their needs
- Assisting with qualitative analysis of group session recordings
