Senior Writer

Leads creation of content to support organizational goals. Coordinates different components of content creation, collaborating within team and outside teams to compile and complete content collateral. Implements strategy related to content development.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take the lead in content development according to editorial process, standards and guidelines and drive the end-to-end development process for all planned content (60%)
• Communicate messaging strategy stakeholders, provide continuous education and direction on messaging strategy (80%)
• Actively research editorial stories through internal and external sources (30%)
• Help provide guidance and support to team members
• Publish content on marketing platforms
• Update content production calendar

Minimum skills preferred

• Impeccable grasp of the English language and writing language skills. The content needs to be grammatically correct, logically flowing and engaging to readers.
• Attention to details as all copy should be error free
• Outstanding verbal communication skill that enables collaboration with clients and work colleagues, as well as solicit feedback in order to create appropriate content
• Solid technical skills including digital media and technology involved in copy writing
• Be able to think creatively
• Outstanding research skills that enable writers to find and cite information from reputable and expert sources, so that the content meets the prevailing consumer trends
• Ability to take the lead in planning and executing complex projects

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing or related disciplines
• 5-7 years or more of related experience or demonstrated competency
• Knowledge of Associated Press style guidelines

• Total Rewards: The salary range for this position is $70,000-$90,000 of the salary range and is based upon years of experience that is commensurate with the level of the position. 

All employees at UL Solutions are eligible for annual bonus compensation.  The target for this position is 10% of the base salary offered. Employees are eligible for health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental & financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country, for the relevant position level.   

We also provide employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
