Job Description

We are looking for an exceptional Purchasing Manager who will manage and develop our global supply base within a defined category helping to deliver commercial and customer-related KPI’s. Your contributions will be instrumental in propelling the growth of Own Brands Food, making you a key player in our mission to enhance zooplus' success in the pet industry's strategic domain.

Are you ready for this challenge?

As a Purchasing Manager, you will be involved in:

• Management & business development of our global supplier network through fact-based data & analysis within a given category
• Conducting Product level / Commercial agreement negotiations  
• Extensive knowledge of global sourcing markets, raw material price developments and suppliers, onboarding new suppliers where appropriate
• Preparation and management of product tenders / e-sourcing 
• Drafting, negotiation and preparation of annual agreements
• Through cross functional collaboration, sharing annual capacity plans suppliers  contributing to high availability rates and on time delivery performance
• Implementation of quality assurance measures together with accredited testing institutes

Qualifications

• Successfully completed business studies or comparable professional training
• At least 3-5 years of proven professional experience in different areas and topics of purchasing, ideally in the retail or consumer goods sector
• Sound negotiation tactics and techniques, ideally also in an international environment
• Global (including Far East) sourcing experience is an advantage
• Analytical thinking and experience in dealing with senior  / C level colleagues
• Project management experience
• Business fluent English, any other foreign language is a plus
• Experience in e-commerce
• Willingness to travel
