Under general supervision of the Coordinator/Manager/ Director, the sterile reprocessing tech cleans, inspects, assembles and packages all surgical products used to support physicians and surgical team in the operating room and other departments as required.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician reports to the Manager, Sterile Processing.  Under general supervision of the department manager, shift supervisor or designee, the   Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of instruments in compliance with medical center policies and procedures, state, local and federal requirements.
