ICF seeks Insurance Adjusters – Claims Analysts to work in our Disaster Management Division. This position is full time, U.S. remote with deployment, travel and some work from home.
The Insurance Adjuster -Claims Analyst will meet directly with individuals and businesses impacted by disaster and will investigate claims and provide recommendations for settlement of claims. The claims will be for New Mexico and will include required deployments up to 90 days at New Mexico claims centers with 1 to 2 weeks of at home/U.S. remote work. Preference given to New Mexico qualified residents. Per diem and business travel included. This position will be educated on the federal requirements and process.
Compensation: While the range below is broader, this position will offer a salary range in the 65K to 90K range, based upon % match to job description, location, etc., as determined by the hiring team.
The Disaster Management division works with government agencies and communities to design and implement policies and programs to promote increased resilience to disasters and to promote long-term recovery in housing, economic revitalization, and infrastructure after disaster strikes. Our functional expertise is in program management, technical assistance, training, performance measurement and evaluation, website development, and adult learning. Key Responsibilities:
• Insurance adjusting and claims analysis handling property damage and/or bodily injury claims.
• Guide applicants through the eligibility requirements, documentation, and submission processes with empathy and clarity.
• Utilize proper procedures for documentation per provided standards and regulations.
• Apply analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration, and resolution of a wide variety of administration issues and problems.
• Educate applicants and relevant stakeholders on FEMA’s Recovery regulations related to insurance.
• Coordinate and participate in resolution of project related issues and concerns.
• Optimize procedures and maintain communication and focus.
• Maintain and track each case as required from PA Liaisons in project report management information system.
• Measure performance with key metrics.
• Keep the management team informed on issues, problems & resolutions.
• Collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders, including all levels of government, agencies, internal ICF and project team.
• Superior customer service skill set, ability to listen, facilitate, and resolve problems.
• Work with high regard to time management standards set.
• Expertise in the area in which you are assigned.

MUST HAVE Qualifications:
• 4+ years of experience as an insurance adjuster handling property damage and/or bodily injury claims.
• Able and willing to work in a dynamic environment both remotely U.S./strong internet and on-site, deploying to recovery centers in New Mexico for up to 90 days at a time.
• Able and willing to work a flexible schedule that can accommodate some evening or weekend work as may be required.
• Must have a valid United States driver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
Preferred Experience: (may set candidates apart)
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Certified National Flood Insurance Adjuster, current.
• Demonstrated flood and fire loss experience.
• Mediation and/or arbitration experience.
• Familiarity with the rebuilding processes following natural disasters.
• Local/State government customer service experience with a wide range of participants and organizations.
• Previous experience supporting disaster recovery operations or working for a company or department in support of initiatives, educational or incentive programs.
• Experience of successfully assisting participants through disaster application processes.
