Methodologist / Instructional Designer for Accounting Course

About the role

This is a remote position.

Brain Beruf Academy is an academy for intellectual professions for migrants in Germany. Our mission is to integrate people with a migration background into the German labor market, to give them not only professional skills but also to help them adapt to their new country.


Your Role:


  • Develop a hybrid course for accountants in Germany in Russian and German: 45% asynchronous content (videos, longreads, tests) and 50% live classes;

  • Design an engaging educational experience tailored for learners aged 40+ to help them transition into a new profession and secure employment in Germany;

  • Collaborate with course experts to create webinar scripts, lesson presentations, and comprehensive notes for both instructors and students;

  • Develop course assessments and materials, including synchronous lesson plans, homework assignments, interactive longreads, presentations, and scripts for video lessons optimized for AI avatars; 

  • Define criteria and formats for evaluating program quality to ensure excellent learning outcomes; 

  • Consistently update and improve course content based on feedback and evolving educational standards.


Key experience:


  • At least 2 years of experience as an instructional designer or methodologist

  • Proven experience in developing courses for accountants is a strong advantage.

  • Mandatory experience in creating hybrid and asynchronous courses.

  • Familiarity with adapting video scripts for AI avatar narration is a plus.

  • Experience in crafting interactive longreads is desirable.





Requirements



  • Knowledge of German at B2 level or higher is an advantage;.  

  • Knowledge of Russian language at the level of a native speaker;

  • Understanding of program design fundamentals, including reverse engineering principles and methodologies for building engaging educational experiences; 

  • Awareness of the latest trends and developments in pedagogy and instructional design; 

  • Proficiency in research tools and the ability to analyze and define the target audience and consumer profiles for courses;

  • Willingness to quickly adopt new tools, techniques, and approaches to learning design;

  • Ability to interact with and conduct interviews with subject-matter experts;  

  • Strong communication skills, empathy, and attentiveness to detail; 

  • Teamwork skills with a focus on achieving common goals; 

  • Flexibility and a knack for finding creative, non-standard solutions;  

  • Confidence in presenting and defending your decisions;

  • Project management skills, multitasking ability, and a capacity to process large amounts of information while maintaining stress tolerance.
