PI Material Handler | 12-hour rotating day/night shift

Position Overview

Shaw Industries is looking for someone to move and transport products to and from location within the plant, while maintaining the quality of the product, without causing harm, danger, or damage. We are looking for individuals who are ambitious, interested in learning new skills and enjoy problem solving. 

Shift: 12 hour rotating days & night shift - 14 days a month 

Responsibilities: 

- Perform all job duties working safely and following all safety rules and procedures 

- Responsible for the transporting of polyester bale waste/RPET super sack waste 

- Disposal of the bale yarn 

- Disposal of waste from the collection system 

- Transport bales to Inspector/Packing area 

- Clean wheels on waste bins 

- Operate and inspect hoist 

- Must be able to drive a sit-down forklift truck 

- Complete facility routine tasks such as daily housekeeping and special projects as required 

- Performs duties as assigned by Supervisor 

Requirements: 

- Able to sit, stand or walk for 10 to 12 hours 

- Able to bend, stoop, squat, lift, carry and reach occasionally 

- Able to get on and off a forklift 

- Be able to lift and carry packages  

- Be able to distinguish between colors 

- Must demonstrate basic mechanical knowledge 

Pay Rate: $19.58 

Work Shift

12 Hr rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Act Calendar, days & AM/PM start time changes in the rotation
