Field Supervisor
Musco's Insane Impact Team has an opening for a Field Supervisor at our Des Moines office. If your experience aligns with the qualifications outlined below, we look forward to hearing from you!
Essential Criteria:
- Mechanically oriented with the ability to make independent decisions
- 5+ years’ experience in basic construction or trade
- Ability to operate or learn to operate heavy equipment (telehandler, scissor lift, boom lift) and work at elevated heights
- A/V experience with commissioning audio systems, preferred
- OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain
- GED or High School Diploma
- Driver License, clean driving record, ability to obtain DOT medical card, and a passed background screening
- Must be able to lift 50lbs at a time, travel to job sites, and work indoors & outdoors
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to interact with customers in a comfortable, non-sales environment
- Work schedule: Monday through Friday. Home on weekends except on rare occasions
- Up to but not limited to 75%; travel by driving or flying
- Travel three (3) weeks per month, with one (1) week working from home or the Des Moines office
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Supervise leads, technicians, and contract workers at job sites to ensure projects are completed safely, on-time and up to company standards
- Mentor and educate team growth in their current roles and prepare them for their next steps.
- Manage 3-5 direct reports; long-term, these would be field leads
- Responsible for new technician onboarding and training
- Responsible for documentation and reporting for install techs and leads
- Expected to schedule and lead weekly calls with individual staff
- Additional focus on tracking budgets, labor, and equipment to improve margins
- Ensure the culture and core values of Insane Impact remain intact across the team
- Mentor and educate technicians to grow their skills while helping champion their career growth, company culture, and core values
- Conduct site visits to identify all details needed for a successful installation, when needed
- Verify project materials both before shipping and upon delivery to the field location from the warehouse
- Ensure spec sheets, inventory, BOM, and processes documents are correct before arrival on-site
