Job Description

Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for a Research Technician to work in Mebane, NC.  Be sure to check out the videos which highlight our important work.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Plant and maintain crops used for studies.
• Maintain study data and facility records in organized manner
• Assure accurate and complete collection of study data and report timely to Sponsors
• Assist with study conduct including pollinator studies, general beekeeping, apiary setup, bee colony assessments, greenhouse planting and monitoring.
• Participate in periodic GLP training
• Able to obtain NC pesticide applicators certification.
• Use of study management database, as required
• Supervision of temporary workers, as assigned
• Assure safe use and provide training of farm equipment, machinery and/or vehicles by facility personnel
• Working outside normal hours and domestic travel in a short notice will be required. 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would have:

• Agronomy experience
• Knowledge of operating farming equipment and electric tools
• Able to lift up to 80 lbs equipment
• Experience with driving tractors and trailers
• Experience with irrigation system
• Knowledge of basic construction
• Able and willing to work around bees and other insects as studies required.

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma plus four years of experience. Associate degree plus two years of experience preferred..
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime and some weekend shifts required as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Mebane, NC are encouraged to apply.
