Description

Lake Forest Animal Hospital is looking for a veterinary assistant with an upbeat and positive attitude to join our team. We would love someone who has previous experience that can assist the veterinarian, work to educate clients, and is great with patient care.  Though previous experience is not required, those with experience will be given precedence. Our clinic is open Monday thru Friday 9 am to 6pm with early drop off hours starting at 7:30am. Saturdays from 9am to 12pm. Saturday rotation is required. Applicant must enjoy working with people and have an affectionate nature for all animals.

Requirements

Animal care: Feed, water, walk, medicate, monitor animals in our care.

Cleaning: Top to bottom cleaning of the hospital and everything inside.

Animal restraint: Maintaining control of the patient while the doctor does exams, etc.

Lab: Collect samples and run lab work on our in house lab machines or prepare samples to go to outside lab.

Equipment: Maintain and keep up all equipment up to date and in good functioning order.

Records: Maintain complete and professional records for each patient.
