The Microelectronics, Design, and Applications (MDA) organization is seeking a Principal / Sr. Principal Factory Product Integration Systems Engineer to join our team and pioneer new approaches, design and implement technologies for a computer integrated manufacturing system. You’ll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside physicists, design engineers, and superconducting foundry engineers to make these technologies a reality.

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Principal / Sr. Principal Factory Product Integration Systems Engineer. This position is located at the Linthicum, MD location

This position requires full-time work onsite at our Linthicum, MD location.

What you’ll get to do:

  • Serve as the Product Owner for Quality Management, Change Management, and Learning Management Systems

  • Support trade studies and system selection for the QMS, CMS and LMS systems

  • Support system implementations for QMS, CMS, and LMS systems

  • Specify stakeholders need to drive the frequent delivery of value to the customer

  • Coordinate and prioritize the needs for multiple stakeholders across multiple products

  • Manage stakeholder expectations

  • Work with the stakeholders to plan and execute product releases

  • Own the integrated Product Roadmap, defining the priorities of software capabilities consistent with stakeholder mission needs

  • Align Product Roadmap with program IMS

  • Iterate Product Roadmap with the stakeholder to address evolving priorities

  • Decompose stakeholders’ needs to create, refine, and prioritize the product backlog; support all aspects of backlog refinement and story mapping

  • Support preparation and presentation of briefings and demonstrations to stakeholders

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work independently, and possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment

This position can be filled at the Principal OR Sr. Principal level. Qualifications for both are listed below:

Basic Qualifications for Principal Factory Product Integration Systems Engineer:

  • A Bachelors Degree in a STEM related area (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience; Masters Degree in STEM related area with 3 years of relevant technical experience; PhD in STEM related area with 1 years of relevant technical experience.

  • Demonstrated experience with product lifecycles for new and existing products.

  • Extensive experience creating product roadmaps.

  • Experience deriving requirements for commercial off the shelf SW systems.

  • Experience planning and executing trade studies for SW systems.

  • Experience presenting and conducting demos of software products to users/leadership/stakeholders.

  • Experience integrating multiple SW systems into a cohesive ecosystem.

  • Knowledge of front end SW verification and validation strategies.
