25-1750 Registered Nurse/LPN AMHS/OCMS - $2,000 or $4,000 Sign On Bonus for RN!

This position offers a $2,000 (1 year stay-on agreement) or 4,000 (2 year stay-on agreement) Sign On Bonus with the agency!  This bonus will be provided upon completion of a probationary period. Bonus only applies to RN.

Responsibilities: Under the supervision of a Supervisor/Coordinator, serves as a staff nurse, performing a variety of duties depending on the area of assignment. May be responsible for the orderly administration and maintenance of medication which involves administering prescribed drugs. Participates in interdisciplinary planning of care and treatment ensuring the coordination of medical services to consumers served by the program. May render general nursing care and provide medical support in accordance with approved nursing practices. Coordinates referrals from case managers requesting consultation with physicians, providing nursing consultation regarding consumers to case managers. Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to: providing information and assistance specific to the area of assignment performing admissions screening on new consumers, serving as agency liaison, performing crisis intervention activities, providing case management, providing patient education, and providing above services on an outreach basis an indicated. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA’s mission, policies and procedures.

Requirements: Possession of an associate’s degree or a diploma in Nursing required. Possession of a State of Michigan license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse required. Possession of “Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers” Certification required. Case Management duties may only be assigned when the employee has or attains one year of experience. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and reliable transportation required for job related use. 

Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, verification of an acceptable driving record, educational background check, and verification of an acceptable work history. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Salary/Hours: $63,420 - $75,680 annually for Registered Nurse. $52,974 - $56,177 annually for Licensed Practical Nurse. Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, 40 hours per week.

Location: Adult Mental Health Services/OCMS Lansing, Michigan.
