We are currently looking for a Senior R&D Engineer, Modeling & Simulation to join our Neurovascular Operating Unit in Irvine, California. A Day in the Life
In this exciting role as a Senior R&D Engineer, you will support projects related to both acute ischemic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke technologies. You will work independently under general supervision within a computational modeling team to generate new simulation tools or apply existing tools for the prediction of device performance and safety.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Develop & utilize structural finite-element modeling tools for the design and evaluation of neurovascular device/s.
Implement general mechanical design and solid mechanics fundamentals to drive product development for the treatment of neurovascular diseases.
Work collaboratively with front-end R&D and product development teams as well as with cross-functional team members to bring new products to market.
Utilize computational modeling & simulation to develop new test methods; integrate materials and processes; characterize device performance.
Prepare reports and presentations to communicate technical assessments and analysis results.
Generate technical reports for submission to regulatory agencies.
Offer insight, guidance, and mentorship to project team members.
Aid in the generation of intellectual property.
Analyze computational modeling & simulation results, distill key findings
