Job Summary: The Unit Secretary is an employee who performs assigned clerical duties. This employee prepares, complies, and maintains patient records and functions as the unit receptionist.

Minimum Requirements: 

• High school graduate or equivalent. 
• Completion of unit secretary course preferred.
• Some use of medical terminology desirable.
• Experience preferred but not required. 
• Possesses the ability to relate effectively to patients, their families, physicians, staff, and all others using proper channels of communication.
• Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.
