Role Summary/Purpose: 

The B2B business delivers $2B+ in Net Income to Synchrony and provides comprehensive financing solutions to hundreds of thousands of active merchants and providers in 20+ markets The B2B products offered to our merchants and providers are delivered through a variety of digital platforms and channels Synchrony is seeking an experienced Digital Product Owner to lead the development and implementation of new features and capabilities into the digital merchant and provider channels. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience working in a matrixed environment with clients and technical development teams, strong project management and Agile skills, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects. This position will report to the Vice President, B2B Digital Program Manager.

Occasionally you may be required to commute or travel for in person engagement activities such as business or team meetings, training and culture events.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Oversight and leadership of the wing-to-wing feature development cycle including build, test, launch, and performance metrics 

  • Partner with key stakeholders (Product Management, TechOps, Legal, Compliance, and Credit) to identify, develop and prioritize new product features and the pathway to market delivery 

  • Prepare for and actively participate in PI planning events, ensuring features are groomed and the team has clear direction on priorities/objectives 

  • Lead projects in Scaled Agile development methodologies - define story acceptance criteria, manage and prioritize the team backlog, collaborate with the Release Train Engineer, Scrum Master, System Architects, developers and other subject matter experts and contribute to the overall team vision and roadmap 

  • Work with system architect/engineering to understand Enabler work 

  • Lead product demos and Inspect and Adapt activities 

  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with internal stakeholders, and ensure features are signed-off by Bu
