Position: Pool Safety Officer
Department: Loss Prevention
Purpose: To ensure that all guests and associates are conducting themselves safely on the pool deck.
Reports to: Director of Loss Prevention

Essential Functions:
• Performs pool safety checks follows:
a. Number of adult guests at the pool.
b. Number of kids at the pool.
c. Ensure no running or diving on pool deck
d. Ensure no smoking or vaping on pool deck
e. Ensure no outside alcohol or food is on the pool deck.
• Responds immediately to emergency incidents at the pool and notify loss prevention officer on duty.
• Ensure we don’t go over maximum guest capacity at the pool.
• Able to provide basic first aid.
• Is courteous, tactful, and helpful, but firm in enforcing hotel pool policies and procedures.
• Perform duties as assigned by the Director of Loss Prevention, Loss Prevention Supervisor, or any EC member.
• Always Creates and maintains the highest standards of Loss Prevention, begin professional in attitude, appearance, and application.
• Does not leave assigned station unless properly relieved as specified by the Loss Prevention Officer on duty.

Tools and Equipment:
• Telephone, pen/pencil
• First Aid equipment, 2-way radio

Working Environment:
• Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
• Exposure to various hazardous chemicals
• Extended periods of time on foot, patrolling the pool.
