Sentara Careplex Hospital is currently hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist to work a Full Time, 14-week assignment!

Travel Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Sentara Careplex Hospital - Hampton, VA

Temporary Full Time & Swing Shift

Hours: Monday-Friday, 11:00am-7:30pm

Call Requirement: 30 minute response time, 2 weekend shifts (7am-7pm on call) per 6-week schedule

• $60.00/hr
• Temporary Full Time
• SWING shift
• 14-week assignment
• No benefits

Minimum Qualifications:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Certifications - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) OR
• Tech in Surgery TS-C - Certification - National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
• Licensed Surgical Technologist - State license - Virginia
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA)
• TS - Trade School Graduate - Surgical Technologist
• Previous Operating Room experience

Job Description:

• Implements plan of care for specific patient population. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care in the peri-operative environment.
• May substitute training in operating room procedures from military or vocational training program.
• Virginia Surgical Techs are required to be Licensed with the VBOM.
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification accepted.

Sentara CarePlex Hospital is a 224-bed, acute care hospital, and Certified Primary Stroke Center located in Hampton, Va. Sentara CarePlex Hospital provides care through advanced surgical programs, emergency cardiac intervention, fellowship-trained physicians, and the newly-opened Family Maternity Center.
