  • Collaborate with external auditors to provide documentation and support throughout the course of their review
  • Prepare quarterly entries in accordance with U.S GAAP, as well as reconciliations between management and U.S. GAAP tax reporting
  • Coordinate deliverables from the various tax groups, including Tax Resolutions, Forecasting and Analysis, Federal & State, and Global Structuring teams, as well as Corporate Accounting and the foreign sites

  • Assist the Tax Resolutions team with the reserves process and ensure they are properly reconciled within our tax provision software
  • Assist the Senior Tax Manager, Acquisitions and Integrations with entering purchase accounting data into the tax provision software and documenting deferred tax balances that are established
  • Assist with researching tax technical issues and documenting findings in a clear and concise manner, including the preparation of memos as appropriate
  • Participate in Boston Scientific's continuous improvement initiative by being willing to suggest and implement process improvements that decrease cycle time and leverage technology
  • Assist with accounting for special projects as needed, including business combinations and divestitures

Required qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Tax Accountant, with at least 3 years of experience in public accounting or a combination of public accounting and a large corporate tax environment
  • Working knowledge of ASC 740 principles and U.S. GAAP
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, adhere to tight deadlines, exhibit strong attention to detail, problem solve, and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating regularly with all team members
  • Strong analytical, technical, and written and verbal communication skills, as well as an eagerness to learn
