(Senior) Scientist* Late-Stage Formulation Process Development 

 

As a (Senior) Scientist* Late-Stage Formulation Process Development you will be part of the team bringing our individualized cancer vaccines to marked. To that end, you develop, optimize and characterize RNA nanoparticle manufacturing processes to detail.

 

Your main responsibilities are:

• Development of new and improvement of existing drug product manufacturing processes for individualized mRNA vaccines, including process characterisation to detail and transfer to GMP
• Independent planning, execution, interpretation and reporting of R&D experiments
• Communication with internal and external partners as well as the reporting of project progress on a regular basis
• Compilation of documents required for registrational clinical studies as e.g. analysis of critical quality attributes, comparability studies and support with filing of regulatory documents
• Performance and supervision of nanoparticle quality analysis with multiple physicochemical techniques as e.g. Spectroscopy & DLS
• Supervision of research associates and student assistants
• Organizational activities for the laboratory area (introduction of new/other staff, equipment responsibility)

 

What you have to offer:

• PhD in a science- or engineer-oriented discipline (e.g. chemistry, pharmacy, physics, material sciences, biochemistry or similar) with minimum three years of professional experience or master's degree with 5+ years of professional experience, ideally within a pharmaceutical technology background
• Practical experience in nanoparticle manufacturing or microfluidics as well as expertise in physicochemical characterization of nanoparticles as e. g. DLS, SAXS, NTA, Zeta-potential, TEM
• Very good knowledge of minimum one of these topics: pharmaceutical technology, colloidal systems as nanoparticles, polymer systems, liposomes/LNPs, drug/gene delivery, microfluidics
• High level of organization and reliability paired with ability and interest to perform in an agile environment and to work in an international team with enthusiasm
• Independent, well-structured and precise way of working as well as willingness to take over responsibility
• High standard of spoken and written English, German language skills are advantageous
