About the role

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations as a hands-on leader, serving and motivating warehouse employees, leading by example, and fostering a positive team-building atmosphere. Warehouse Supervisors often work in busy environments where priorities can change at a moment’s notice, so an ability to multitask is and delegate is essential with this role.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Read and comply with all company policies, including safety, standards, and procedures.• Assigning workloads and daily tasks to Warehouse Associates• Communicating with Project Management and Wachter associates to answer shipping and receiving questions and troubleshoot problems.• Monitoring inventory and shipment transactions for accuracy.• Ensuring inventory and storage areas are clean and maintained.• Monitoring Warehouse Associates to ensure safety procedures are being followed when operating forklifts and other machinery.• Report shortages, defects, and discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.• Order inventory or shipping materials when needed while working with purchasing and management regarding stock procurement and availability.• Assist the Warehouse Manager with controlling and monitoring inventory count by verifying inventory in system with physical counts of stock.• Will be tasked with delegated capable responsibilities when the Warehouse Manager takes leave.• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Warehouse Manager.
