Location:  Kentucky Hatchery, Monticello, KY 

Schedule:  Wednesday - Saturday

Hours:  1:00pm – until the job is complete.  Averages 10 hours per shift.   

Work schedule is subject to change based upon production needs.  

Position Summary: 

• This position is responsible for sorting through chicks on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, as well as, cleaning and sanitizing the hatchery.  On Tuesday and Friday, this position is responsible for filling up sanitation containers, as well as, cleaning and sanitizing the hatchery and washing boxes.  Others duties may be assigned. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Cleans and sanitizes the hatchery with a pressure washer (30%). 

• Places approximately 1,500 chick boxes weighing an average of 2 pounds into washer to be washed and sanitized (30%). 

• Washes and sanitizes the dirty side box room with a pressure washer (30%). 

Other Duties, Responsibilities and Activities 

• Others duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.  Such as:  Properly euthanizing weak/ill chicks in accordance with company policy, setting eggs, dumping cull eggs, pulling empty farm and setter buggies to the Egg Room and washing and sanitizing the pull room with a pressure washer and reads setters.  Must be able to read and write to complete daily checklists (10%).
