Professional Accountant

Summary

 

The Accountant provides overall general accounting support.   Actively involved in various month-end financial close process, including journal entries and account activity reviews.  Performs and reviews General Ledger account reconciliations and analysis. Understand and review balance sheets and P&L statements.  

 

 

Your role in our mission

 

• Maintains the company's general ledger accounts, including posting and preparing, opening, adjusting, and closing journal entries.
• Performs reconciliations between the general ledger and financial statements.
• Provides ad hoc analytical, reporting, SOX and audit support.
• Provides payroll support and researches any payroll related items

What we're looking for

 

• BA or BS in accounting or finance and/or equivalent experience required
• CPA or CPA eligible preferred but not required
• 2+ years corporate accounting experience to include general ledger, fixed assets, accruals and reconciliations
• Knowledge of GAAP and FASB and related accounting/audit rules
• SOX controls experience preferred
• Experience with PeopleSoft 9.0 and SAP S4 HANA preferred
• Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel
