Justice Resource Institute (JRI), a leader in social justice with over 100 diverse programs meeting the needs of underserved individuals and families throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut, has a rare opportunity for an Agency Grant Writer. The Agency Grant Writer will function as the lead and coordinator of collaborative proposal writing teams across the agency.

RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will research, identify and follow up on potential funding opportunities to support existing and planned program activities as well as coordinate the development, writing and submission of grant proposals. You will take a lead role and will be the primary writer on state, federal and collaborative grants, but will also work with the development team to identify foundation grant opportunities and provide various supports to program grant writers.
Salary: $70,000 - $85,000
Schedule: This position is hybrid, with some in office days required.
Specific duties will include, but are not limited to:
Professional and administrative work in researching, identifying, and responding to public and private grant opportunities that are relevant to the activities of JRI programs. Communicates with program leaders to invite interest in proposal submissions.
Reviewing new Request for Proposal (RFP) documents to interpret and summarize key points and help make bid/no bid decisions, based on best fit and value to the organization. Summarize the grant requirements to others within the organization. Identify key requirements that need to be met.
Understanding RFP requirements and crafting (either directly or in collaboration with other personnel) appropriate responses that highlight JRI strengths and competitive advantages
Preparation of proposals and grant applications in response to solicitations. Responsible for the completeness, quality and timeliness of all state, federal, and collaborative grants proposal submissions assigned.
Team leader/coordinator for collaborative team proposals. Generates and provides the project plan including assigned duties and deadlines. Follows up with team members to ensure timely submission of project assignments.
Working with outside collaborators to secure memoranda of understanding, letters of support.
Gathering group project assignments and writing the final draft in one voice.
Submitting final draft to program leadership and incorporating team edits into proposal drafts.
Generates revenues for programs and services through timely submission of persuasive, well- researched, well written and well-documented grant proposals.
Works effectively and provides leadership to program grant writers and consultants.
Acts as a liaison to funding agencies or organizations as needed.
Tracking grants pipeline for various programs as assigned, includes using Salesforce for grant tracking.
Provides timely reports on fundraising data as requested.
Historian and fact checker: Maintains up to date content regarding organizational history, mission, project experience, clinical models, team biographies/profiles, partner organizations.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field required. Master’s Degree preferred.
Minimum of two years related experience in grant writing for social service organizations.
