Job Summary: The Instructor is responsible for facilitating a high-quality teaching and learning environment within assigned classrooms, laboratories, shops, or other instructional settings. Ensures student success through effective instruction, curriculum development, and adherence to institutional and industry standards.
Minimum Required
Education: Associate degree in a related field, or a combination of three (3) years of relevant work experience and ASE certifications that demonstrate the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Minimum Required
Experience: Preferred: Experience teaching in higher education within the instructional area being taught.
Core Duties and
Required Knowledge: Develops and recommends policies and procedures related to instructional programs and departmental operations.
Assists the Automotive Coordinator with budget planning and resource allocation.
Collaborates with faculty and the Dean to develop, evaluate, and revise curriculum and course offerings.
Plans, develops, implements, evaluates, and schedules HVAC courses.
Serves as a resource for instructional strategies and curricular matters.
Maintains current and compliant departmental syllabi.
Teaches assigned courses and fulfills all instructional responsibilities in accordance with college standards.
Prepares and submits reports on program activities, outcomes, and accomplishments.
Maintains working knowledge of ACGM, WECM, and GIPWE guidelines.
Ensures compliance with all external agency regulations and maintains required licenses and certifications.
Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and instructional technologies, including learning management systems.
Maintains knowledge of and adheres to the Hill College mission, vision, values, Code of Conduct, and institutional policies and procedures.
