Principal Accountabilities

  • 50% Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions of equipment using various tools. Driving your team to complete scheduled daily work.  Provide follow-ups to ensure problems are solved.  Develop and review maintenance, Process Safety Management (PSM) and SOP’s for operation of equipment and system integrity.  Performing preventative, predictive maintenance, and reactive maintenance strategies. Assisting with repairs to completion and maintain training certificates. Communicating with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) technicians and vendors to resolve downtime issues as needed. Communicating with operations and maintenance superintendents, supervisors, and leads daily to resolve issues, perform or attend RCA’s (Root cause Analysis), and mitigate issues as they arise. Manage and input the information on the IDEX (Daily Execution board)  board and direct IDEX meetings daily. Completing a detailed pass on of scheduled and unscheduled work daily to share with the leadership team. Mentor and train MTT (Maintenance Technician Training program), new, and current technicians. Inspects work performed by technicians for quality and efficiency.
  • 20% Direct, maintain, and schedule maintenance technicians daily and weekly schedules.  Cover vacation and call-ins as needed.
  • 10% Complete necessary documentation related to completion of Work Orders and implement as a department standard.
  • 10% Maintain adherence to all Corporate Environmental Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • 10% Report problems with the food safety management system. Responsibility and authority to report and act upon food safety issues. Maintain knowledge of HACCP/OPRP/PRP (GMP) policies and requirements to complete all monitoring and/or verifications tasks as outlined in the Food Safety Management.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Good communication skills – reading, verbal, and written
  • Ability to work with others along with problem solving mentality. 
  • 2 years of Maintenance experience or completion of technical college degree in related field
  • Ability to read & interpret detail blueprints and other technical documents
  • Basic understanding of AC/DC Fundamentals
  • Basic computer skills including being proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook 
  • The ability to obtain and maintain qualification for the HAZMAT response team. 


Preferred Qualifications

  • Food Safety in a manufacturing environment Previous leadership experience.
  • Familiarity with SAP and maintenance scheduling software.
  • Ability to rebuild and repair pump valve cylinders, gear reducers, self-aligning bearings, and other related components.
  • Work history in the last 12 months.
  • Dependable and punctual.
  • Able to participate as a member of the emergency response team. Including wearing a full-face respirator mask as needed.
